Missing teeth can have a big impact on your oral health, your smile and your bite. When you have a missing tooth, the surrounding teeth shift into that space. This can drastically alter your appearance as well as your bite. When teeth shift, it can cause some teeth to wear abnormally fast and ultimately cause you to lose more teeth. A dental implant will permanently replace your missing tooth while preserving your jaw health. Dr. Daren Larsen and Dr. Josh Haslem provide dental implants in Vernal, UT. Call us today to schedule a consultation.
A dental implant is composed of three parts. First, Dr. Larsen or Dr. Haslem will surgically affix a titanium implant to the jawbone. Through a process called osseointegration, the jawbone will naturally fuse with the titanium implant. The second piece of the dental implant is an abutment which is attached to the titanium implant and sits at the gum line. This provides a surface on which the third piece, the crown, can be placed. The crown is custom designed to beautifully complement your remaining teeth.
Our doctors use the Galileos® Cone Beam to provide a 3D image of the current state of your mouth. Using the information from the Galileos® technology, we are able to determine exactly where to place an implant to complete your bite.
