Stabilize Your Dentures

Dentures often cause a lot of discomfort by slipping and rubbing against your gums. Even when you have a good fit, the gradual loss of the jawbone means your dentures are always in the process of losing their fit. You may also have to face the embarrassment of dentures sometimes falling out while eating or talking. Implant supported dentures are more stable and secure than ordinary dentures. By securing dentures with dental implants, you get a beautiful, functioning smile with less discomfort. The dental implants provide your jawbone with the stimulation it needs to help maintain healthy bone levels.

Dental Implants vs. Implant Supported Dentures

While there are a number of options for replacing missing teeth, dental implants are the generally preferred replacement for missing teeth. A standard dental implant is used to replace a single tooth. A titanium implant is used to replace the root of the tooth and a crown is affixed to it to replicate the visible portion of the tooth. Replacing each individual tooth in this manner would be too inefficient for edentulous patients. Instead, implant supported dentures use a small number of titanium implants to secure a full set of dentures.
